There is such variety in the new Mini Catalogue that its hard to know what to use first. I love the shape of the Top Note Die, and can’t wait to use it on some more projects.
I’m using the one of the new In-Colours, Rich Razzleberry, and any of you who are Purple lovers out there, will LOVE this colour.  It’s very easy to use!
I’ve cut out all of the smaller flowers and leaves and stuck them directly to the Whisper White card stock, while I added some dimensionals to the larger flower to raise it up.  I’ve also raised up the Top Note just for a bit of interest.  I’ve stamped the vine from the Vintage Vogue Stamp set on the Rich Razzleberry card stock, although I think next time I would use a lighter card base, perhaps Pale Plum for this card.

I’ve also posted this over at the Elite Challenge Blog

Welcome to the Stampers Anonymous Stampin Up blog tour! You may have just come from Robyn Irvings blog, but if you are starting here, don’t worry … you can make the complete circuit just by following the links at the end of each post. There are 14 stops along the way and we hope you will visit each one to see the gorgeous creations we have to show you!

We will be showcasing the beautiful new products in the Summer Mini, available to you from December 1st. At the end of each post there will be a link to take you to the next stop on the tour. Feel free to “share the love” and leave a comment! So sit back, relax and enjoy!

My first card uses the new ‘I {Heart} Hearts‘ stamp set and also the new button colours on offer, Playground. I love that this set co-ordinates with both heart punches Stampin Up already have available. Make for a really simple and quick card

The next card makes use of the new ‘Butterfly Prints‘ and the new co-ordinating Butterfly Punch. I love butterflies and glitter, so this card was fun to make.

To add a bit more texture, I used the flourish from the Season Of Joy set, and used my paper piercer to add holes where the dots were. Just a small detail that add just the right amount of interest.

Now this card uses the
Like-O-Meter single stamp. This is a great stamp becuase you can use it to connvey at least 9 different messages. I have decided to go with ‘I’d marry you again’ sentiment, but if there isn’t a greeting on there that doesnt suit (I find it hard to belive though lol) you could use your markers to colour the messages, omit one of them, and fill in your own personalised message. This is a card to make for someone who perhaps just doesnt quite get the hint 🙂

and FINALLY, my last project I want to share with you is the new Sweet Treat Cups, Something Sweet stamp set and the new BIG 1 3/4 inch Circle Punch. This is going to be a set that I’m going to have lots of fun with. Instead of using the co-ordinating stamp set, I’ve used the Pick a Petal set to create a flower. So many possibilities with these cups. You could run with this idea, but on a smaller scale, to use a name place tags, or baby shower decorations, favours, anything really.

Well, that’s all from me. Now you’re off to enjoy the wonderful creations of RUTH BISHOP http://ruthbishop.blogspot.com/ Thanks for stopping by!

PS. For my regulars, or anyone else who would like to stop by, I will be starting my 12 Cards of Christmas tomorrow. The next 12 days will be all about Christmas!

Want to make these? Keep reading for the tutorial
My last paper flower tutorial seemed to be pretty popular, so I have found another one for you to try. This one is a bit more involved, but still really easy.

You will need a piece of double sided patterned paper that measures 10cm x 10cm (4 inch x 4 inch). Make sure that side that you predominately want showing is facing down. This can be made with any size paper to change the size of the flower, as long as it its a perfect square.

Next you want to fold the paper diagonally in half to make a triangle

Take one corner and fold it to the top of the triangle, and then do the same to the other corner. It will make a diamond shape.

Fold the left side of the ‘diamond’ towards the bottom left edge, the do the same for the right side.

Now this is the slightly tricky bit, but once you’ve done it the first time, you’ll be right. You need to fold one side back up to make the ‘diamond’ shape again (first picture) and open it up (second picture). I found sticking my finger in there helped open it easier (sorry about the blurry photo). Do this to both sides.

Once it’s open, you need to flatten it out so it looks like a kite. Again, both sides need to be done.
Fold back both tips of the ‘kites’
and fold the ‘kites’ in half
From here you will need to add some strong adhesive to one side (I have used Stampin Up’s Sticky Strip)
The curl the edges around to meet each other. And that’s one petal done. You will need another 4 petals to make a complete flower
ASSEMBLY
Once you have made the other 4 petals, add some more Sticky Strip to on side of one side of one petal and stick another petal to it.
Then continue to add Sticky Strip and petals until all are attached

And that my people is a beautiful flower! Just think of the lovely flower arrangement you could create.
I have used the same patterned paper from my last post, the Haiku Pack. Remember that this month Stampin Up are offering a Buy 3, Get 1 pack free for selected Designer Patterned Paper packs. Its only available this month and a great way to make a whole lot of these flowers. CLICK HERE to see the details. Ok, now for the clover tutorial. Very easy!

You will need a scallop circle

then you need to make a fold at 5 scallops.

The flip the scallop circle

and fold it in half

unfold it, and then fold one half towards the centre

Do the same for the other side and that is it!

I made four of these and stuck it to the front of THIScard

Can you believe it’s Monday again! Where does the time go. This week I am using the colour ‘Certainly Celery’ from Stampin‘ Up!. I am using ink, cardstock and ribbon from this colour range. Green isn’t a natural choice for me, but I think i’m warming up to it. The card is simple, but pretty I think.

Monochromatic cards are a great idea if the recipient is a fan of a one particular colour. For me, I would choose burgundy, for my Sister in Law Tara it would be pink, my friend Melany, probably Aqua. Of course if you wanted more colour, this particular card could be made to have different coloured petals to resemble a rainbow. There are just so many other options you could use. Change the greeting, use a Stampin Up wheel for a background design, use some glitter – so should have done that!

A quick tutorial for today! MAKING PAPER FLOWERS.

I would love to say this is an original idea, but it’s not. It an idea from the Kaisercraft website.

Lets gets started. Here’s the supplies you will need, 2 punched/cut out circles (I have used 2 Scallop Circles), some scissors, and a brad.
The first thing you will want to do is mark the centre of the circle with a pencil, it doesnt need to be exact, but close enough. Then you will need to make equal cuts around the circle, not quite to the centre. The scallops make it REALY easy to know where to cut. Do this to both of the circles.

Next take one of the cut sections between your fingers and ‘fold’ them in half. Continue to do this for all sections on both circles. (sorry the pictures are small) Put a small hole in each of the circles to put a brad through, place the circles on top of each other and place the brad in.

And thats IT. Here is a card I made with the flowers. (I plan on using them on a scrapbook page SOON. They are very quick and simple, and so effective. They give a ncie amount of texture to any project.
