Hello again! Another day, another Christmas card. Day 3 uses some of the huge amount of stuff left over from my ‘I wish’ Simply Scrappin Kit. I’ve also used one of the stamps from the Snow Swirled stamp set.
This card was definitely inspired by THIS card I saw some time ago. We didn’t have some of the products available, so I have substituted with what was available from the current catalogue.

I used the Love Notes Envelopes and covered them in paper from the I wish Simply Scrappin Kit. I unfolded/unglued one of the envelopes and used this a template to cover the envelope. I’ll keep this unglued one in my pack so I can use it in the future.

I’ve also used one of the new Old Olive Buttons from the Playground Button pack. I have then used some Crystal Effects, filled the centre and poured some Superfine Glitter to give the card a bit of bling. I have also clear embossed the sentiment, but you cant tell from the photo.

ENJOY!

If you haven’t got something to give you mum on Mother Day yet, this post will be great for you.
When I was playing around with this stamp, I originally just wanted a small and simple card so that the main focus would be the sentiment. But something just wasn’t working for me, when all of a sudden I had a brilliant idea. Why not create a set telling your mum why you are so ‘lucky’ to have her as a mum. This is what I came up with….

This may look like a card, not that exciting at that. But what you don’t realise, is that this isn’t a card at all, Its an envelope!

This is the envelope from the Carousel Notes on page 131 of the Australian Stampin Up catalogue. I then decorated a piece of card with the coordinating colours and design from the front of the envelope. This is where you can write to your mum telling her how much you love her.

I used the Stamp-A-Ma-jig to duplicate the ‘lucky me’ part of the stamp. You can see a tutorial how to use a Stamp-a-ma-jig HERE. I have used the Curly Label punch to create the scallop/wave border to match the front chipboard piece. The Patterned paper is from the Good Morning Sunshine pack.

The frame around the stamped image is chipboard piece from the ‘On Board Essentials’ pack, which I covered in Chocolate Fine Supernova Glitter. There is no way to really capture just how sparkly this glitter is. I love it!!
Enjoy!
