I’m adding classes in addition to workshops!. So what classes am I running?

The first class will be a Stamp-A-Stack. What exactly is a Stamp-A-Stack? Pretty much what it says, you make a stack of cards! How many exactly? In my Stamp-A-Stack class you will make 5 cards for $15. The theme and colours will change from month to month, so you will always be making something different.

Don’t you just love the backgrounds on these cards.
It’s very addictive once you do one……that’s why there’s 2! Want to learn a new technique? The second type of class will be a ‘technique’ class. The first Technique class will featuring how to create one of the cards above with a Brayer. Later this week I will show you the other cards that you will learn in this class.

Want to book in for any of these classes? They will be run at my home in Lilydale, Victoria. The dates will be on the right hand side of my blog under UPCOMING CLASSES. If you can’t make those dates, email me to discuss alternate times and dates. I can also run these in your homes with a group of friends if this suits you better.

Classes will be limited to 8 so get in quick! EMAIL ME NOW!

Over at the Elite Challanges Blog, the April Sketch Challange is up. This is the sketch

and this is my take on the sketch. To use the sketch, I turned it sideways so that I could use the flowers upright

To create this card, the first thing I did was stamp the background with the stamp ‘Weathered’. I then cut the scallop cardstock. I used the ‘Friendly Words’ jumbo wheel with Sahara Sand Ink on Sahara Sand cardstock. I stamped the flower image in Basic Black and then I have then I have used the blender pens to ‘watercolour’ the flowers in Baja Breeze and the petals in Kiwi Kiss. Finished it off with the circles and greeting and a bit of the new Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla Double sided Satin ribbon

Hope you enjoy!

Don’t forget I still have lots of retired stamps for sale. Scroll down a few posts to see the pictures of the ones for sale or CLICK HERE to go straight there

I have felt to itch to scrapbook for a few weeks now, without a real opportunity to do so. There are a few pages left to finish in Isabelle’s baby album so that’s where I started. I had a general idea of how I wanted this page to be, which always helps me with the process. I have noticed a change in my scrapbooking style to a more clean, uncluttered and simple to what I had been doing in the past. This is great in so many ways.
  1. I don’t need to use as many products, saving me money
  2. I don’t need to have as many options, which is good for someone like me who cant make decisions lol
  3. I can complete a page much quicker, enabling me to finish more pages
  4. I don’t feel the pressure of having the ‘perfect page’ every time I sit down to scrap.

This is the page I’ve just finished. It’s Isabelle’s tiny little feet at about 3 weeks old with my engagement ring on her big toe.

If you are looking for uncluttered simple scrapbooking styles to inspire you, two scrapbooker that inspire me are Ali Edwards and Becky Higgins. Click on thier names to see their blogs.

Supplies
Stampin Up patterned paper for the background, Basic Grey Rub Ons, Bella Chipboard with Stampin Up Super Nova Glitter, Cherish definition by My Minds Eye (Wild Asparagus), flowers and ribbon. I have a feeling the ‘I’ is made by Bazzill?

Happy Easter everyone!!

My little family and 2 of my friends little families took a road trip about an hour and half out of Melbourne to a town called Ballarat. Here they have an old gold mining town you can visit called Sovereign Hill. Its a re-creation of 1850’s lifestyle. Among the many things we saw during the day, 2 things caught my eye. Let me introduce to my new friends ‘In your dreams Sandy #1’ and ‘You’re dreaming Sandy #2′ lol

.
If you’re unaware of my scrap space, I occupy the underside of the kitchen bench and the kitchen table. Yep, you heard me right. I’m out in the open. One day I have big plans for a craft studio and as soon as I saw these cabinets, my mind started racing! I loved the drawers in these cabinets and the space to have jars on display. I could SO see my buttons, brads, flowers, ribbons and anything colourful in those jars. Ahhhhh……..if only it were that easy. In my head these cabinets would fit perfectly in my ‘One Day Scrap Studio’ , of course, they would be white lol. One scrap room I absolutely ADORE is Jennifer McGuire. CLICK HERE to see her studio. Just thought I’d share with you my dreams! If you want to see more crafty storage ideas a great blog is http://craftystorage.blogspot.com/
